Weapon Masteries & Dojos Update
MO.CO's latest update introduces Weapon Masteries, permanent Dojos, golden shaders, and a new daily streak reward system that dramatically changes how you progress your favourite Hunters. This guide breaks down every new system, the fastest path to your first golden shader, and all the quality-of-life changes buried in the patch notes.
This guide is based on a detailed video walkthrough from a prominent MO.CO creator who dug into the patch notes, tested the new systems, and showcased every golden weapon shader in the game. You will learn exactly how Dojos, milestones, elite contracts, and daily goals feed into the Weapon Mastery track.

How Weapon Mastery Works
Weapon Mastery is a permanent progression track tied to every weapon in MO.CO. Your progress does not reset with seasons, so every star you earn stays with you across the entire life of your account.
Each weapon has a total of 18 milestones spread across three categories: Dojos, Milestones, and Elite Contracts inside Rifts. You need all 18 to unlock the legendary Expert title and 20 Mob Bolts.
Dojos (9 stars)
Every weapon features three Dojos: Basic, Intermediate, and Expert. Each Dojo also includes two time trials, giving you three stars per Dojo and nine stars total.
Milestones (5 stars)
Milestones are weapon-specific tasks such as dealing damage, healing, or hunting overcharged and mega charged bosses. Completing all milestones for a weapon awards five stars.
Elite Contracts in Rifts (up to 5 stars per Rift)
When you use a specific weapon during a Rift run, you can earn up to five stars on that weapon's Mastery track. You can only claim these stars once per weapon per Rift: to earn more stars you must switch to a different weapon on the next Rift.
Pro tip: On day one of the update there are six available Rifts. Running all six with six different weapons gives you 30 free stars across your arsenal right away.
Mastery Level Rewards
The track has four mastery levels. The thresholds are 20, 30, 50, and 50 (150 total). The first three levels each reward an OC core, while the fourth and final level unlocks the golden shader for that weapon.
If you only care about the golden shader, you can reach it in roughly two and a half to three weeks by grinding every daily and weekly Rift. Completing all 18 milestones also grants the legendary Expert title and 20 Mob Bolts.
Daily Goals & Streak Rewards
A new Daily Goals system tracks your daily task completion and rewards a streak bonus. After maintaining a 7-day streak, every subsequent day doubles your rewards: double XP and double cores.
This means a single mega charge core reward becomes two mega charges once your streak is active. Because the streak resets to zero if you miss a day, consistency is critical.
Pro tip: Prioritise your Daily Goals every single day once the update lands. The compounding value of double cores over weeks is one of the biggest long-term upgrades in this patch.
Patch Notes: Core Drop & System Changes
Upgrade Core drop rates have been increased from Rift bosses, social hunting, and expeditions. Some players have reported receiving six cores from a single Rift boss, making world farming and deadball farming significantly more rewarding.
Expeditions now notify you when an expedition event is happening on a different map, removing the need to check external sites like Cell Streak. The creator speculates this hints at the return of multiple worlds.
Final Lead Merit and Overtime badges have been upgraded from Basic to Epic, awarding more collector points.
Chaos energy pool now starts each season at two days (approximately 600,000) for every player, eliminating the advantage of banking 2.1 million XP at season end.
Emote wheels are now independent from outfit styles. The configuration with the most emotes is automatically applied when you switch outfits, saving significant menu time.
Expedition teams now use a follow system: the team leader selects the map and members can join directly by pressing Follow, removing the need for everyone to ready up manually.
Bug Fixes & Improvements Round-Up
Fixed Zapsicle and Zapsicle weapon skin animation issues where duplicate models appeared on top of each other.
Fixed an issue preventing players from equipping the Zapsicle weapon skin.
Style slots and their custom names now save correctly across sessions.
Improved touch interaction in Rifts so players no longer accidentally open mini-profiles.
Improved the weapon sprint interface to prevent players from getting bugged inside the sprint screen.
Technofist music no longer overrides battle music.
Fixed player spawning in the middle of the battlefield in versus modes that previously gave an unfair advantage.
Fixed team members being launched into different maps when readying up in a lobby, a long-standing frustration for streamers and groups.
Several crashes, VFX issues on skins, and audio bugs were also resolved.
Golden Shaders Showcase & Final Notes
The creator showcases every golden weapon shader in the game, including how they look on existing weapon skins. An updated Dojo playlist using the lowest possible core is referenced so you can see exactly what power level you need.
Notably, Dojo leaderboards appear to have been removed in this update. The creator also mentions spotting the Chaos Contain map in the build, speculating it may return by the weekend.
No weapon buffs or nerfs were included in this patch. Technofist will likely remain dominant in Rifts. The creator expresses hope that crit scores RNG will be adjusted in a future update, but for now the meta is unchanged.
