
Unlike some portal builds that do most damage with gadgets, this build is trying to do most of the damage with the passives so that you don't have to wait for the cooldown to do anything meaningful again. It aims to focus on a single target (jaded blades + unstable beam), while dealing with surrounding enemy swarms using crowd control (smelly socks + explode-o-matic). Everything else is just to keep you alive since you will be up close to so many enemies. It's fun to play and really satisfying to see the chain reaction go off and kill many enemies.
This deals with swarms from summoning totems and invasion portals really well, and can also do significant damage to bosses. If some of the smaller enemies are close enough to the boss, then the explode-o-matic hits the boss as well, which is also pretty helpful. I've taken out summoning totems and invasion portals using this build with no help from other players/bots, but you may die a few times.
This works best on bug worlds with a lot of the tiny units like bugs because they are easy to kill and the chain reaction explode-o-matic deals significant damage to surrounding enemies. Probably avoid using on corrupted shrine since there are more bosses which do a lot of damage and not many smaller enemies.
